Western Cape Amphibian Surveys

Western Leopard Toad - Sclerophrys pantherina. Muizenberg, Cape Town

Western Cape 2020

31st August 2020, heavy rain had hit the Western Cape the previous week, and many of the regions Amphibians had begun meeting up within their breeding pools. I had only recently arrived back from the Western Cape, yet my car was packed, and I was on my way to assist Keir & Alouise from Bionerds in the project for the Endangered Wildlife Trusts. The team for the week consisted of Dr Jeanne Tarrent, Ryan van Huyssteen, Keir Lynch, Alouise Lynch, Liam Lynch, Faansie Peacock & Joshua Weeber.
